Tony Blair in the running for Nobel Peace Prize

9 Oct

The winner of this years Nobel Peace Prize is to be announced on Friday 10th of October. Pope Francis is the bookies favourite to win the award but ridiculously Mr Tony Blair has made the shortlist and is only 50/1 to win the coveted award. I’m not sure how candidates are decided or even how peace is defined by the panel awarding the title, but if Tony Blair has a legitimate chance of being announced as the winner, I would have to say the system is seriously flawed. I would even support Bono’s bid with complete commitment before even acknowledging Blair as a potential candidate. The U2 front-man has somehow managed to get even more infuriating and righteous with age, but at least he hasn’t bombed entire Iraqi villages, I don’t think.

Pope Francis 3/1

Ban Ki-moon 10/1

Edward Snowden 14/1

Bill Clinton 29/1

Tony Blair 50/1

Bono 100/1
